THESE ARE DELICATE INSTRUMENTS and
should be treated as such. Do not swing your WHITE ZOMBIE AUDIO
CABLES around or treat them roughly. Be gentle!
IMPORTANT: YOUR NEW CABLES SHIPPED
WITH NALTEX® PROTECTIVE SLEEVES
AROUND THE CONNECTORS TO PROTECT THE FINISH IN SHIPPING. THESE WILL
SLIP RIGHT OFF.
INSTALLING YOUR CABLES
NEVER pull your WHITE ZOMBIE
AUDIO cables by the wires. This will most certainly RUIN the
cables by breaking the solid silver wires from their soldering
points. The cables have been built with extra beefy strain relief
but to pull the cable by the wires will without a doubt destroy the
cables. Always insert and remove the cables from your equipment
using the knurled portion of the connector.
MAKE SURE ALL OF YOUR COMPONENTS TO
BE CONNECTED ARE TURNED OFF (NO POWER) BEFORE CONNECTING YOUR WHITE
ZOMBIE AUDIO CABLES! COMPONENTS EQUIPPED WITH A STANDBY MODE SHOULD
BE UNPLUGGED!
Your new cables have been constructed
using the very finest individual components available. The contacts
on the connectors have been treated with a 100% solution of
Caig®
DeoxIT® GOLD . It prevents oxidation of the contacts and enhances the
free flow of electrons between the contact and the component input.
We recommend that at least once a year you disconnect and clean your
contacts. Use
Caig®
DeoxIT®
GOLD
to clean the contacts.
Do the same for the jacks on your audio component. Insert the
connector into the input jack in a straight motion and twist
slightly as you push. This insures your contact is tight. We include a
free sample of DeoxIT® GOLD with each order so that you may clean and enhance
your equipment connections prior to installing your new WHITE ZOMBIE AUDIO
cables!
ATTENTION:
Your WHITE ZOMBIE AUDIO cables are equipped with locking connectors.
They have been shipped with the connectors in the CLOSED (locked)
position but may have moved due to vibrations in shipping.
PREPARE THE CONNECTORS FOR
INSTALLATION TO YOUR EQUIPMENT: Rotate the barrel of the connector
clockwise until the connector is FULLY UNLOCKED then insert it into
your equipment's RCA jack. NEXT, tighten the connector ...
DO NOT
OVER TIGHTEN! Use firm hand force only; never use a pair of pliers
or other tool. To over-tighten will degrade the sound and could
damage your component jacks resulting in a visit to the repair
technician. We cannot and will not assume responsibility for damage
to either the cables or your equipment due to improper installation!
When routing your WHITE ZOMBIE AUDIO
cables do NOT route them beside AC power cables. Even if you have
purchased a shielded version of our cables, do NOT place them
parallel to an AC line. This is asking for noise to leak into the
audible signal being carried by your cables. If you MUST have the
cables near an AC cord, always run them over the AC line at a 90°
angle. This will help prevent interference.
The
unshielded design of our cables is slightly sensitive to AC line and
other noise (EMI and RF). The Litz braid eliminates most of this
noise. However, do not allow these cables to touch AC cords. The
unshielded version has a slight improvement in overall audio quality
simply because the carrier wires are surrounded by pure virgin
Teflon tubing which is slightly larger in diameter than the carrier
wire, producing an air dielectric. The design virtually eliminates
signal loss.
One other important note regarding
the tri-braid WHITE ZOMBIE AUDIO cables: They are somewhat sensitive
to micro phonics caused by mechanical vibrations. You can strongly
tap the wire with a finger while playing music and hear
the sound
produced by the vibrations. All cables suffer from these problems to
some degree. To prevent the resonance caused by physical vibrations
in the carrier, we use polyethylene braided sleeving to dampen these
vibrations. As an added bonus it is extremely durable and has
excellent dielectric properties.
